XML validation

The specialised sitemap runner records structure and content evidence including reachability, XML parsing, index/urlset shape, protocol/host consistency, URL/file limits, duplicates and lastmod syntax. Additional layers assess truthfulness, freshness, reliability and, when crawl data exists, coverage.

A public sitemap being absent, unreachable or malformed remains distinct evidence rather than a generic fixed-file “Not Found” result.
