Common llms.txt issues

File not found

llms.txt is externally optional, but Flowpane recommends and scores it. A missing observed file is shown as Recommended file is missing and scores 0/100. Creating or saving a starter draft does not change that observed result; deployment and a later live check are required.

Empty or placeholder content

File exists but lacks meaningful descriptions.

Fix: Add only verified descriptions and resource links. Do not use llms.txt to declare crawler access or AI usage permissions.

Missing summary or sections

Flowpane may recommend a summary blockquote or H2 resource sections for usefulness. These are product recommendations, not mandatory protocol failures, and Flowpane does not auto-insert invented descriptions or URLs.

Resource lists work best with descriptive Markdown links. Flowpane can mechanically convert one bare URL only when its existing description supplies an unambiguous label. Otherwise it provides guidance without an automatic fix.

No Optional section

The Optional section is itself optional. Its absence is score-neutral and never triggers an automatic fix.
